GoogleChromecast（グーグルクロームキャスト）とは？
GoogleChromecast（グーグルクロームキャスト）とは、スマホ内の動画や写真などをテレビの大画面に表示したり、スマホ画面全体をテレビ画面に表示させることができる端末です。
GoogleChromecastで、できること
GoogleChromecastは、スマホで再生しているYoutube動画や写真アルバムなどをテレビの大画面で表示させること（キャストといいます）ができます。Youtube動画を大画面で観たい。写真アルバムをみんなで見たい時に役立ちます。
また、スマホ画面全体をそのままテレビ画面に表示させる（ミラーリングといいます）機能もあります。
Chromecast with Google TVなら動画配信サービスも
Chromecastの兄弟機器でChromecast with Google TVというものがあります。これは、専用リモコンが付属しており、リモコン操作が可能です。
動画配信アプリ（Amazonプライムビデオ、YouTube、Netflix、TVer、GYAO!、U-NEXT、DAZN、Disney+、FOD、Apple TV+など）をダウンロードすることで、テレビで動画配信サービスを楽しむことが可能となります。
同じようなものとして、Amazonが発売している、AmazonFireTVがあります。
GoogleTVとは
GoogleTVとは、様々な動画配信サービスから好きなコンテンツやジャンルを検索したり、管理できる動画の管理ソフトのようなものです。最近ではソニーの一部液晶テレビにも搭載されています。
Chromecast with Google TVでは、このGoogleTVを活用できます。
Chromecast with Google TVなら横断検索も可能
GoogleTVの特徴として横断検索があります。動画配信サービスは様々ありますが、その中で観たいジャンルや作品、または好きな俳優や監督作品などを一括検索できます。
数ある動画配信サービスから、見たい作品を探す場合、動画配信アプリを起動して検索。別のアプリを起動してまた検索と非常に煩わしい作業となりますが、これが一括で検索できるのはありがたい機能ですね。

見たいものリストもつくれる
GoogleTVはGoogleのアカウントを利用します。GoogleのGmailやYoutubeなどでGoogleのアカウントを所有している方も多いと思いますが、Googleで検索した映画やドラマなど「あ、これ今度ゆっくり観たいな」といった、コンテンツがあれば、見たいものをGoogleTVに記憶させておいて、あとでGoogleTVで観るということもできます。
映画、ドラマ、アニメ、スポーツ等を視聴する方には便利な機能といえます。
GoogleChromecastの利用方法
①テレビのHDMI端子にChromecastを接続し、電源をいれる。
A.Chromecast本体と電源ケーブルをつなぎます。
B.ChromecastとテレビのHDMI端子につなぎます。
C.電源ケーブルを電源コンセントに差し込みます。
テレビ画面は正しいHDMI入力画面にしましょう。すると、Chromecast の開始画面が表示されます。
②Google Home アプリをダウンロード
スマートフォンまたはタブレットに Google Home アプリをダウンロードします。
Google Home アプリを開き、メッセージに沿って操作します。
③Wi-Fiネットワークを選択
スマートフォンやタブレットで使用しているのと同じ Wi-Fi ネットワークに Chromecast が接続されていることを確認します。
④セットアップ完了
デバイス名など表示されればセットアップ完了です。
Chromecast 対応アプリからテレビにキャストする
実際に利用する際、キャストに使用するモバイル デバイス、タブレット、パソコンが、Chromecastと同じ Wi-Fi ネットワークに接続されていることを確認します。
Chromecast 対応アプリを開き、キャストアイコンを押します。
キャスト先とするデバイスを選択（押すと）直接テレビにキャストできます。
キャストを停止するには、キャストアイコンを押して、[切断]を選べば、終了できます。

映像が止まってしまう場合の対策
GoogleChromecastを利用中に映像がカクついたり、止まってしまう場合、Wi-Fi環境に問題がないか確認してみましょう。
